Chef Christopher Dutka

As a child, I remember being captivated by my grandmother’s ability to take something as simple as a tomato grown in her own backyard and turn it into a savory sauce for her hand cut spaghetti noodles. It was a sight to be seen and a taste so unforgettable that it inspired me to pursue a career as a chef.

A New Jersey native, I spent twelve years in Florida as an Executive Chef in several highly acclaimed, award-winning restaurants. I have created menus incorporating Italian, Asian, Latin, French, Caribbean, vegetarian and organic cuisines. My passion for flavor has rewarded me as the recipient of various recipe awards including being a three-time winner for Maple Leaf Farms Duckling and once for Bacardi Rum. I spent three years with Whole Foods Market as a Prepared Foods Team Leader. I have also hosted television cooking events and hold write-ups in various publications for my culinary creations. I have since opened 618 Restaurant in Freehold, NJ in 2016 which was chosen as the best new restaurant in Monmouth County.
